Visit Evergreen
Individual Visit
Please review the visit options below and request your visit.
Information Session
Evergreen students recommend an Information Session as the best way to learn about the integrated curriculum. The session is an up-close, convenient way to get answers to all the questions you have during your visit.
You'll meet with an admissions representative in a small-group setting where you can discuss what really makes Evergreen academically unique. You'll learn why integrated studies and narrative evaluations are beneficial for your education—and your future. Plus, we'll give you the details you need to become an Evergreen student, providing an overview of admissions, financial aid, housing and scholarships.
Information Sessions and Campus Tours are offered as a package and will be reserved for you when you contact us. The Information Session and Tour are offered most weekdays (excluding holidays) throughout the year. The Information Session is about 60 minutes and combined with the Tour, will last about 2-1/2 hours.
Campus Tour
Here's your chance to explore Evergreen's beautiful campus. These walking tours, led by a student, are a great opportunity to picture yourself living and learning here. You'll visit academic buildings, the Recreation Center, library, Campus Activities Building and student housing.
The Campus Tour is offered as a package with the Information Session and both will be reserved for you when you contact us. The Tour and Information Session are offered most weekdays (excluding holidays) throughout the year. The Information Session is about 60 minutes and combined with the Tour, will last about 2-1/2 hours.
Class Visit
You will need to attend an Information Session prior to your Class Visit.
During a scheduled Class Visit, you'll experience first-hand what makes Evergreen so distinctive from other colleges and universities. Our teaching and learning comes to life when a Program Host (a current student) takes you along to a lecture, lab, workshop or seminar.
Class Visits are available almost any weekday and are generally offered in October, November, and January through May. An Information Session and Campus Tour are always included with the Class Visit. Please make your reservation at least two weeks in advance as class visits are very popular. Also, have several dates ready in the event that your first- or second-choice dates are taken. (Class Visits are not available on Wednesday afternoons.)
You may combine your Class Visit with an Overnight Stay.
Overnight Stay
An Overnight Stay is a fun way to get to know more about life at Evergreen. Your Evergreen Guide (a current student) will introduce you to other students, giving you a real insider's perspective on the community. What do Greeners do for fun? There are free movies, rock climbing, theater, dance, soccer and basketball games, biking, hiking and more.
One-night-only stays are available almost any weekday except Friday and are generally offered in October, November, and January through May. An Evergreen Information Session and Campus Tour are always included with the Overnight Stay. We encourage you to bring your parents and friends, who can stay in one of the recommended Olympia-area hotels/motels. Overnight Stays are extremely popular, so please make your reservation at least two weeks in advance of your visit. Also, have several dates ready in the event that your first- or second-choice dates are already taken. Overnight stays are reserved for prospective students who are high school juniors, seniors, or transfer students.
You may combine your Overnight Stay with a Class Visit.
